After waking early to leave at 5.40 we turned up at the coach, now you may think this sounds like an all Asian tour coach trip... and you'd be right! We were the only white people :)
Those who know me best know I cannot not laugh at something like this. Especially when its in my face!
My god ... I could not stop laughing...
Matt: It wasn't just his talking either, Caitlin wasn't listening to him properly and he said something in Cantonese and she though he said clap, so she started clapping by herself! I had to grab her hands while trying not to laugh. It was like being her carer :P
So we went to Boston, and visited Harvard. (Oh And I found Cheers! So I took a quick photo.)
Caitlin: The first day was a lot of driving to get to Boston. After, dinner we arrived at the hotel, which was really nice, it beats being in a box on the side of the road any day. The only downside was the 5:40 am wakeup call. Followed by the call at 6:40 am telling us we were late and the last ones to arrive to the bus. (In our defense, he told us we wouldn't be leaving until 6:45)
Matt: The Sheridon was really good, nice rooms. Caitlin has more pictures of that one than me, but you'll all have to wait for them.
Day 2 was trip to the NYC. First event was to get a water taxi out around the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges.
We opted out of the planned events so we could walk around NY ourselves. Only ssaw part of Central Park, which was nice and Times Square was particularly amazing.
Accomodation for that night was at the Hilton in New Jersey. Caitlin invented a good game.
Caitlin: The game had a maturity level for a five year old. It was basically taking pictures of each other jumping in mid-air and landing on the bed. I am pretty sure the people below us absolutely loved us.
New York City was absoultely amazing though. Being in time square felt like being in a movie (maybe because it has been in so many movies, but alas..).
Matt: Day 3 was Philidelphia and Washington DC. We saw the Liberty Bell which was less than thrilling. The more impressive, the Lincoln Memorial and the White House.
Also we got to visit one of the History Museums, where we saw the Hope Diamond.
After a night at the Holiday Inn, which again was another really nice room, we started a trip back to home. Not before stopping at a place in Pennsylvania called Penn's Cave.
Like any normal cave tours you see weird rock formations, however this was in a small boat which lead to a lake. Now this would have been more impressive if not for our grumpy teen who led our expedition.
Before we headed back on the coach for the last length we took more action shot pictures for our amusement.
