ADDITION POST, Yesterday I visited the Canadian Nation Exhibition with Johannah. It was very much like a large Carnival, usual sort of thing with impossible carnie games. However there were two shows which we saw, Ventriloquist Michael Harrison and Hypnotist Mike Mandel..
The Ventriloquist was very good, he did a clever bit where he had a pad of paper with a seeming drawn on face eyes and mouth which he made talk by moving the mouth and eyes. Then tore the piece off and gave it to a member of the audience showing it was just plain paper. (I think he used magnets).
Mike Mandel was really good. I've never seen a proper live hypnotist, and these people were just so funny to watch. It's so clever to watch how he manages to make your send your self into this trance. I'll explain this in person as it would take too long to write about.
But those two shows made it worth the trip, but also the IAMs Superdog show was... interesting too....
